Driving Material Circularity with Patented Technologies

Sustainability is a key focus for the composites industry. Under increasingly strict regulations and standards, recycled carbon fiber composites have emerged as both strategically valuable and economically viable. HRC introduced its upgraded Recycled Material Application Framework, demonstrating the expanded applications of recycled carbon fiber across multiple industrial sectors and unlocking the full potential of circular materials.

In the automotive segment, HRC showcased a range of recycled carbon fiber components such as underbody shields, fender trims, and mudguards. These products combine environmental benefits with robust mechanical performance and industrial-scale manufacturability. For example, interior structural components made from recycled carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic materials (using LFT long-fiber injection molding) can be combined with PP, PA, PC, PPS, or PEEK, delivering high strength, toughness, and stability for high-end manufacturing applications.

Cross-Sector Applications and Scalable Production

HRC highlighted products across mobility, low-altitude flight, and other sectors, demonstrating the company’s technological leadership and diversified business layout. Star products such as steering wheel trims achieved monthly production volumes of 10,000 units and are deployed in multiple mass-market new energy vehicles, confirming HRC’s industrial-scale capabilities. HRC remains the only company globally capable of monthly mass production of thermoset carbon fiber components for tens of thousands of vehicles, accelerating the adoption of carbon fiber composites across mid-market models.

In general aviation and low-altitude flight, HRC displayed motor arms, inner wings, and other components. Notably, a UAV arm featuring a composite “inner skin—PMI foam—outer skin” structure is manufactured via sequential curing and secondary bonding, reducing weight while enhancing rigidity and structural efficiency. HRC also showcased its full-composite rear swingarm developed for the 2024 Moto2 Championship, engineered for extreme dynamic loads with an optimized balance of stiffness, controlled flexibility, and lightweight performance.

Pushing Product Performance to New Heights

HRC’s commitment to excellence continues with products such as the all-new carbon fiber side mirror arm, selected for the JEC Innovation Planet Mobility section. Made from high-strength, low-density, fatigue-resistant carbon fiber composites, it achieves over 30% weight reduction compared to aluminum alternatives, optimizing energy consumption and dynamic response. Its corrosion resistance and durability ensure stable performance throughout the product lifecycle, while the carbon fiber texture adds a technological and premium aesthetic to the vehicle.
