HRC’s Circular Economy Practice Selected as a “Carbon Pathways to the Future: 2025 Exemplary Climate Action Cases”
The “2026 Climate Action Ecosystem Partners Conference” was held on July 25 in Beijing, bringing together representatives from government organizations, industry experts, and leading enterprises to explore new paths of climate action and green development, while advancing innovation for a more sustainable future.

As one of the key highlights of the conference, the “Carbon Pathways to the Future: 2025 Exemplary Climate Action Cases” initiative was officially announced. Jointly launched by Weather China and the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation, the initiative recognizes exemplary cases that demonstrate measurable emissions reduction outcomes and industry-wide impact, contributing to climate action and China’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. HRC’s “Closed-loop Carbon Fiber Circular Economy Case” was selected as one of the “2025 Exemplary Circular Economy Cases” following a rigorous evaluation by the expert review committee, The case was recognized for its innovation approach and significant environmental and economic benefits. Ms. Ellie Wu, CSO of HRC Group, accepted the recognition on behalf of the company.

As a high-strength, high-modulus, low-density and excellent corrosion-resistant composite, carbon fiber plays a critical role in strategic emerging industries such as new energy vehicles and aerospace. It is also a key enabler of lightweight and advanced industrial development. However, with the increasing adoption of carbon fiber, the annual volume of carbon fiber waste generated in China continues to grow rapidly. The industry faces several major challenges in recycling, including limited retention of mechanical properties, high pollution risks associated with chemical processing, and insufficient purity of recycled carbon fiber, making it difficult to reintroduce recycled materials into high-end applications
To address these challenges, HRC has developed a closed-loop carbon fiber recycling approach centered on “multi-source waste collection, clean pyrolysis and purification and high-value recycling.” Combined with a market-proven innovative business model, this approach establishes a sustainable pathway for carbon fiber recovery and high-value reuse. At the raw materials stage, HRC has built a recycling network covering four major sectors: wind power, aerospace, automotive, and consumer products, providing a solid foundation for large-scale recycling. Through its proprietary patented recycling technology, HRC’s recycled carbon fiber retains more than 95% of its original physical properties, while achieving a carbon footprint certified under ISO 14067:2018 that is only 4.7% of virgin carbon fiber. The entire process is designed around cleaner production and reduced carbon emissions.
Recently, HRC officially launched CirVia™, a new circular product brand focused on recycled materials and sustainable applications. The brand portfolio covers two major categories: intermediates and end-use products. Intermediate materials include recycled carbon fiber thermoplastic pellets and felt, which are suitable for processes such as injection molding and extrusion and can be applied across industries including automotive, robotics, and sporting goods. End-use products include automotive and aerospace components, construction formwork, and lifestyle products, offering a combination of lightweight, high strength, and excellent durability. Several products have already achieved commercial application and market adoption.
Through the integration of technology, products, and business models, HRC is transforming the traditional linear model of “production–use–disposal” into a circular approach that enables resource recovery, carbon reduction, and value regeneration. Moving forward, the Group will continue to advance the integration of green technologies and circular business models, further expanding its circular economy and accelerating the adoption of low-carbon solutions across industries.
