HRC Invited to Attend the NICE-FRAUNHOFER Green Tech & Industry Cooperation Forum
On September 22, as part of the 2025 Pujiang Innovation Forum, the “NICE-FRAUNHOFER Green Tech and Industry Cooperation Forum” was held, jointly organized by the National Innovation Center par Excellence (NICE) and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. This forum focused on the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, exploring industrial application scenarios for green technologies and promoting cross-border R&D, talent development, and industry collaboration.
HRC, as one of only two keynote speakers, was directly invited by Fraunhofer HQ to participate and deliver a keynote address at this prominent forum. Dr. Timo Huber, CEO of HRC’s R&D Center, joined Mr. Feiyun Zhang, Researcher and Project Manager at Fraunhofer ICT, to share insights on “Driving Innovation Through International Cooperation.” During the session, they highlighted the close cooperation between HRC and Fraunhofer since 2016, discussing key joint innovations and their impact on the industry.
A key achievement in this collaboration is the establishment of Asia's largest and China’s first Composite Technology R&D Center focused on automotive lightweighting in 2019. This center has been a platform for deepening the strategic partnership, expanding bilateral and multilateral projects, and driving innovation in composite materials applications across various sectors. As the new energy vehicle market grows, the center continues to provide advanced technical support to global clients, helping them achieve technological breakthroughs and scale production, while further strengthening the R&D system and validating cutting-edge international technologies.
HRC’s partnership with Fraunhofer ICT has not only accelerated progress in composite materials technology but also set a successful example of “industry-academia-research” collaboration, promoting sustainable and mutually beneficial growth. The R&D center has become an important bridge for linking top academic institutions with industrial markets, contributing significantly to talent cultivation and international exchanges within the composites industry.
