On June 26, Xiaomi’s YU7 made a stunning debut, immediately became the focus of market attention. As a key partner in supplying carbon‑fiber components to Xiaomi Auto—and building on a strong foundation of cooperation—HRC, a global leading composite solutions provider, offered a suite of lightweight carbon‑fiber parts that combine high performance with refined aesthetics, enabling the YU7 to set off light and swift—truly “ride the wind.”

The YU7 carries forward Xiaomi’s distinctive design language while being comprehensively optimized for the SUV format, creating a bold expression of brand identity. Its long-hood luxury proportions, rooted in a century of automotive design, together with its wide, low-slung stance, flowing curves, and sharply defined minimalist lines, establish a powerful and athletic presence—impressive at first sight, revealing meticulous craftsmanship up close.

Its aerodynamic performance is equally remarkable. The vehicle integrates ten through-channels and nineteen precisely placed airflow inlets and outlets, combined with more than forty optimizations, to achieve an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.245. Optional features such as a 22-degree upturned carbon-fiber ducktail and a finely engineered hollow carbon-fiber spoiler enhance its sporty aesthetic while effectively streamlining rear airflow. The result is a balance of low drag and low wind noise, delivering a quieter high-speed driving experience. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds and reaches a top speed of 253 km/h.

HRC has established itself as a leader in carbon-fiber forming, making the crucial leap from customized R&D to scaled mass production and building a unique end-to-end system covering R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and recycling. Over the past decade, the company has overcome key processing challenges and secured a strong position in both automotive and emerging mobility sectors. Today, HRC works with more than 100 global OEMs—including Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Airbus, and XPeng AeroHT—delivering advanced composite solutions that combine performance with sustainability. With a global outlook, HRC is dedicated to promoting large-scale applications of composites, bridging gaps in the domestic market, and driving industry transformation.

The successful launch of the YU7 once again highlights the strength of China’s homegrown brands and the role of green innovation in shaping the future of mobility. HRC congratulates Xiaomi on this milestone and remains committed to empowering the industry with sustainable, high-performance composite solutions.
