Innovation at the Frontiers of Technology: HRC Invited to Attend the SAMPE China International Forum

From June 17 to 20, the SAMPE China 2025 International Academic Conference took place in Beijing. With the theme “Advanced Composites Leading Industrial Innovation and Sustainable Development,” the event attracted nearly 1,000 experts, scholars, and industry leaders from over 10 countries. HRC was invited to participate in the “High-End Industry Dialogue” and the “Circular Economy and Advanced Composite Materials Engineering Applications” forum.


During the event, HRC engaged with industry leaders to discuss technological innovation, industry upgrades, and the green transformation of composite materials. Dr. Ben Wang, General Manager of Carbon Neutrality at HRC, joined experts in addressing challenges such as homogeneous competition, technological bottlenecks, and the development of recycling systems in the industry. They also discussed the future applications of new materials in sectors like electric vehicles and low-altitude flying, providing new insights for the industry’s transformation.

At the forum, Dr. Frank Henning, Director of Fraunhofer ICT, and Dr. Timo Huber, Deputy General Manager of HRC’s R&D Center, delivered a joint presentation on “Lightweight Applications Based on Thermoplastic SMC Recyclable Composites.” They shared the latest advancements in thermoplastic composite materials, sparking significant attention and discussion. Dr. Huber also presented on “Sustainable Composite Solutions for Lightweight Applications in the Transportation Sector from a Circular Economy Perspective,”  emphasizing how the dual demands for lightweight and sustainability in sectors like electric vehicles and aerospace are expanding the boundaries of composite material applications.
